Movement and Play

Tapping into the nostalgic power of play, POP Yoga helps bring joy and levity into people’s lives. POP Playcations are designed to help individuals break free from the daily grind and reconnect with the present moment. Through intentional movement and playful activities, players are invited and guided to let go of their grown-up thought patterns and simply tap into their inner-child sense of wonder and imagination. Join me and your friends on a journey of self-rediscovery and rejuvenation, where connection and play pave the way to a more balanced and vibrant existence.

Meet The Founder

Alexandra aka Lex George

Namaste my playful Souls! I created Power Of Play Yoga as an extension of my own youthful heart to spread joy, laughter, and a whole lot of love through yoga, mindfulness, and play. I am not your average yogi; I am a unique Spirit with a passion for reminding others that their inner-child longs to be free once again. With me it’s not just about striking a pose; it’s about embracing your own personal Journey, and having the most extraordinary fun along the way! The playful light in me, honors the playful light in you.

The Story Behind Pop

Let me share with you a special story…

Power of Play Yoga LLC, aka POP Yoga, started as a passion project of mine during my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) & Mindfulness Based Leadership Program with Reno local, Amber Campion. I initially applied for this offering because my mother; my hero, my very best friend had recently passed unexpectedly and I was losing my footing. I knew in my heart-of-hearts that a YTT Kula could help me ground…however, I had no idea just how much they would all help guide joy back into my playful heart!

I was blessed to grow up in a home where play was encouraged and supported daily. Both my parents included play into their lives through various forms of art, themed parties, dress-up, improvisation, cooking, photography, dancing, teaching, outdoor recreation, and so much more! They incorporated play into their lives until the days they both passed through. My younger brother and I have always been goofy playmates, and now we are with his young son too. I don’t know how NOT to incorporate play into my life! I notice however that many adults don’t play nearly often enough. Maybe it’s because they are afraid they will be judged for looking silly or not working hard enough. Maybe it is because they have merely forgotten the importance of play, and how good it feels. The good news is deep down none of us can truly ‘forget’ how to play, no matter our age. My child-at-heart Spirit revels in reminding adults all the truly amazing benefits of play, so they can start incorporating play back into their daily lives, yes DAILY! This is why I have created POP Yoga.

I am gifting Rebirth to both my Mom and Dad knowing their playful Spirits live on through my love and offering of POP Yoga. My mantra embodies everything I want to share with others ~ “Sparking Magickal Freedom through Joyful Play & Creative Imagination!”
